This paid fellowship offers hands-on clinical and one-on-one surgical training in knee arthroplasty and arthroscopy.Designed for ambitious orthopedic surgeons pursuing these subspecialties long-term, it welcomes both national and international applicants.

Fellows work within a team led by Prof. T K Kim, a world-renowned pioneer in knee arthroplasty. Since 2003, he has mentored hundreds of national and international orthopedic surgeons, revered for his academic and surgical expertise.

Fellowship Schedule

Work and Training

Fellows receive advanced training and in-depth experience in all knee pathologies, including arthroscopy, ligament reconstruction, osteotomy, and arthroplasty.

Fellows work 6 days a week, actively participating in all patient care aspects, from rounds to post-operative rehabilitation.

They gain comprehensive patient care skills in clinics and assist in surgeries for hands-on OR experience.

Weekly Interactive Sessions

Research activity

We believe fellowship training remain incomplete without academic and research activity. Here we laid down strong foundation of academic activity alongside comprehensive clinical and surgical training. Fellows will work in a dedicated research team comprising of research associates under the guidance of Prof T K Kim. Fellows will attend dedicated interactive teaching and research session every week. Each fellow will be given project to complete within stipulated time with the focus on publishing and adding to world literature. Progress of research activity will be monitored every week. Apart from this, fellows will have the opportunity to present their work in national or international meetings. They will be taken to conferences, seminars, symposiums, and workshops so as to enrich knowledge, remain updated with the contemporary developments, where they will get the opportunity to hobnob with national and international stalwarts of Orthopedics discipline.

  • Upon successful evaluation and program completion, fellows will receive a hospital based fellowship certificate.
  • Training allowances will be provided.
  • Accommodation with all necessary facilities in a dormitory alongside with co-fellows.
  • Dedicated office room for academic session and research works.
  • Round the clock internet facility both in Hospital and in accommodation.
  • Invitation and support to attend conferences, symposiums, workshops.

  • Should have a recognized specialist degree or equivalen in Orthopedics.
  • Should be competent in English speaking and writing skills.
  • Should commit to the program for not less than 6 months duration.
  • Should be well acquainted with computer skills and biostatistics.

Submission Dates Application period

We accept applications all-round the year. Due to high volume and competitive nature of applications, we cannot commit any allotment schedule, but intake will be based on the number of available spots.
